KerBoomKa originated through trial and error when Kershel was living in Florida at the time teaching fitness classes at a local gym. Through his classes, his passion for dance began to become prevalent in his fitness routines. Overtime, he successfully constructed a dance cardio class that is designed to transform clients’ workout experience and the way they think about fitness. Kerboomka stimulates mind and body with moves that are taught in three sections and in counts of 8. The steps are repeated so they can be remembered easily. The music played over the duration of the course, picks up speed to encourage participants to work harder and faster, ultimately burning more...

Don’t DIS my ABILITY

“If you have to judge people, judge them based on what they can do, not on what they cannot.  Judge them based on who they are, not who they aren’t.  Otherwise, you’re judging based on your own shortcomings.” — Anonymous     Studio 120 is currently working on a charitable marketing video to help raise awareness for the Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota Organization. People with disabilities represent approximately 20% of Minnesota’s population. As we age, that number will increase. People with disabilities are the strongest influencers in educating our community about what it is like to have a disability and the daily challenges an abled body person does not encounter or even think about. Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota is not a contest to select the most attractive individual. It is instead a competition based on advocacy, achievement, communication and presentation to select the most accomplished and articulate spokeswoman for persons with disabilities. Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota participants have a platform that they advocate for some of these platforms may consist of access to education and health care; employment opportunity; economic power; and political participation. Others simply want to inspire, motivate, and share their stories.   This non-profit organization originated in 2011, crowning Jenni Taylor as the first Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota. Jenni then went to nationals and was awarded Ms. Congeniality. She currently works on The Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota Board of Directors and next year will be the assistant coordinator of the event.   Studio 120 attended this year’s Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota pageant interviewing the participants and capturing the crowning of Kelsey Peterson the selected winner of Ms. Wheelchair Minnesota 2014. One message...

Your day. Your city. Your future.

FILM the TWIN CITIES On April 26th, 2014 hundreds of filmmakers, non-profit organizations, and inspired citizens will document stories that most affect the future of the Twin Cities as part of a community-wide, participatory media-creation event.  The resulting media will be showcased in an interactive, geo-tagged archive and a TV series for public television on the future of the American city.  In addition, local media partners will exhibit the most powerful and inspiring videos created during the one-day filmmaking event. Starting on a rooftop located in downtown Minneapolis, Studio 120 will capture the beautiful sunrise. Once the sun is high in the sky and the last cup of coffee is consumed, they will pack up and head out to an interview with the head of the light rail transit system to convey the importance of affordable transportation. Throughout the day, Studio 120 will also place emphasis on housing in the Twin Cities by collecting locals viewpoints on the cost of living in the metro area, and the pros and cons about living in Minneapolis. Studio 120 will finish the day with a look at the Twins Stadium while conversing with a few fans, get an inside look at the cities golf courses and last but not least, the local theatres. The equipment used throughout the shoot, will be an AF 100 HD camera and a couple of Go Pros....
