Studio 120 Shapes Up

On April 16, 2013, The ADS Group’s Studio 120 and U-Branded productions went full speed ahead in the creation of 8 fitness trailers. These fitness trailers were filmed at Aria, an old historical theatre located in downtown Minneapolis. The space is generally used for corporate special events, weddings, conferences, social gatherings, and in this case fitness videos. Aria couldn’t have been a more perfect location to shoot, it gave these fitness films another dimension due to its large floor plan, high ceilings, original brick walls, cement floors, and iron cast doors. The cameras rolled as each individual fitness talent displayed unique routines targeting a different area of cardio and strength. Studio 120’s production crew was able to get clear shots of each fitness trainer’s fast pace movements and animated facial expressions with the use of high-tech camera equipment. Two camera units were used in the course of the shoot, camera Unit A which is a 3 broadcast camera that filmed simultaneously throughout the shoot and camera Unit B, an AF100 film styled camera that functions using prime lenses. The full length fitness video production date is yet to be determined, but for now that is a wrap! The Power of a Friend

The stage was set and the camera was rolling at Studio 120 for Matt Clark, a banker with US Bank, Twin Cities. Clark is creating a fundraising video for Leukemia  patients. Clark became a supporter for people diagnosed with Leukemia when three years ago he learned his friend and classmate, Mark Thurbush, was diagnosed with lymphoma, a blood cancer. The first time Clark got word about his friend, he was sitting in class at Carlson School of Management where he was attending to earn his MBA. His reflection of this day still brings tears to his eyes.   “We’re all sitting there waiting for class to start complaining about homework and kids and how to find balance and Mark walks in and says, ‘I have cancer.” In the years that followed, Clark not only stood by his friend while he battled his disease, together the two raised $30,000 to support research and awareness of Leukemia  and lymphoma – a feat that helped earned Clark a coveted spot in The Leukemia  & Lymphoma Society’s 2013 Man/Woman of the Year competition. Man & Woman of the Year is a fun and unique ten-week fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Candidates are nominated to use their leadership skills to conduct individual fundraising campaigns. Every dollar raised counts as one vote. The candidates with the most votes at the end of the 10 weeks are named the Man & Woman of the Year. Fly-Over Country to Become Leader in Fitness Video Production Interior at Aria, Minneapolis The ADS Group is a full service media development and distribution company, located in Plymouth, MN. Its audio and video production and CD/DVD manufacturing facilities is under one roof for a seamless delivery of customer content. On April 16, 2013 The ADS Group will partner with U-Branded Productions to produce 8 fitness video trailers. These trailers will highlight a variety of dynamic fitness routines ranging anywhere from yoga to kickboxing. The video talent will be performed by renowned fitness professionals from across the US. The ADS Group’s Studio 120 will assist in the direction and production of these 8 fitness trailers by utilizing its state of the art camera equipment. Filming is set to take place on April 16th at Aria, a popular venue located in the North Loop of Minneapolis. During the duration of filming, two cameras units will be used. Camera Unit A is a 3 broadcast camera that will be filming simultaneously throughout the shoot and camera Unit B, an AF100 film styled camera that operates using prime lenses.
