[kaltura-widget uiconfid=”11958342″ entryid=”1_nepdniog” width=”400″ height=”333″ /] The holiday season is right around the corner followed by the New Year! The New Year demands for new resolutions. Most people realize that after the parade of holiday feasts, their pants fit a little more snug than what they remembered, which generally leads them to opt for the weight loss challenge. Fitness videos are a useful tool in shedding those extra pounds, and tend to be big sellers right after the holidays. If you are a fitness expert who would like to create a successful selling fitness video, follow these five simple steps: 1.  Understand your audience-Before you even begin to create your video, figure out who your audience is, and how you can help them achieve their goals. Are you targeting stay at home moms that don’t have time to go to the gym? Avid runners who want to develop new core strength methods to improve their running? Men who want to have toned and defined abs?  Once you have determined your target audience, you are ready for step 2. 2.  Stand out from the rest-There is competition in terms of fitness videos, but everyone has something unique to bring to the table. Discover what that is and use it as your platform. Maybe you developed an innovative, effective fitness routine that no one has heard of. Or you have a natural sense of humor that keeps your viewers laughing throughout your entire fitness routine. Find out what that is and use it to your advantage. 3.   Choose a venue that accents your routine-A lot of fitness video productions are shot...

5 steps on how to make it in the world of fitness

Know how to write. It is very important to get your name out there and on the web, this can be accomplished by marketing yourself and generating a following. Lucky for you, more and more people are expressing interest in healthy eating and lifestyle. It is important to share nutrition facts, tips on how to get rid of those unwanted love handles, how to look good naked, etc. Communication is key, so if you haven’t already, its time to jump on the social media bandwagon and start typing! Be inspiring. People want to be inspired, and telling clients to drop and give you 50, just doesn’t cut it anymore. As a fitness and healthy lifestyle coach you need to stand for something and use your creativity to express it to your clients. If you can get them to see the bigger picture, they will be on the right track in accomplishing their goals and you will have successfully shared your passion with others while making a difference in their lives. Deliver results. In order to keep your client coming back, you need to keep them engaged by doing assessments, design customized programs, and care about your client’s success. This will help motivate your client by being able to see their progress and make them want to come back for more. Be Unique. What do you have to offer that differentiates you from other fitness coaches in the industry? Have you designed a new workout program? Is it your personality? Have you invented a new product? Find out what this is and use it to become a leader in your craft. Create...

Why go to Hollywood, when Hollywood can come to Minnesota?

On November 12th, 2013, Studio 120 an award-winning multimedia production house will be producing a video for the elected winner of its “Are You a Fitness Star” contest. The campaign drove in a high volume of contestants from all over the country, but it was Angela Leigh’s video submission that stood out amongst the rest. Angela works at Equinox, a well-renown fitness center based out of Southern California. She has made a strong name for herself in her community by mastering her craft in group training classes such as yoga and cycling. She also coaches fitness instructors at Equinox trending routines to keep its programs up to date and innovative. In addition, Angela has developed a new program called “Stacked” that she recently demonstrated in a digital version of Self Magazine. The stage is set for Angela’s arrival. The shoot will take place at 514 Studios, located in Minneapolis. Studio 120, will work closely with Angela in creating her vision from start to finish. The shoot will be staffed with a full camera crew, director, producer and sound specialist to capture Angela’s every move when executing her fitness routine on camera. Once filming it is complete, the content will be edited and authored by the talented staff of Studio 120. From there, the content will be made into a master, replicated and package by The ADS Group. These actions will all take place under one roof. Studio 120’s objective is to convey a strong message that fitness professionals do not have to look outside the Midwest for quality video production, it can be done right here in the state...
